International Workshops on Lung Health

XIII International Workshop on Lung Health

The International Workshop on Lung Health is an annual scientific event, held each year in a different European city, that gathers leading international experts, clinicians, and researchers to share the latest evidence.

The Workshop provides a comprehensive overview of advances in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of major respiratory diseases , including COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, and lung infections, through an engaging mix of lectures, case discussions, and interactive sessions.

Designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among specialists from different disciplines, the event offers a unique opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss clinical challenges, and explore emerging therapeutic approaches aimed at improving patient care and outcomes.

Since its very beginning, it has been strongly committed to supporting the new generation of clinicians and researchers. Over the years, several initiatives have been developed to encourage and give greater visibility to young professionals: the opportunity to apply as Rising Stars, to submit abstracts for Oral and Poster presentations, and to join the Mentoring Programme, a dedicated side initiative designed to help early-career professionals boost their scientific and clinical growth.

The International Workshop on Lung Health offers a unique opportunity to stay up to date with the latest scientific developments and clinical practices in respiratory medicine. Participants can benefit from:

  • High-level scientific sessions led by internationally recognized experts covering the most relevant topics in lung health and disease management.
  • Interactive discussions and case-based sessions encouraging active participation and knowledge exchange among clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Networking opportunities with peers and opinion leaders from around the world, fostering collaboration and new research initiatives.
  • Visibility for young professionals, through initiatives such as the Rising Stars selection, Oral and Poster presentations, and the dedicated Mentoring Programme.
  • A multidisciplinary perspective, integrating pulmonology, infectious diseases, internal medicine, and related specialties to promote an integrated approach to patient care.
