Dariusz Hareza

We are delighted to welcome Dr Dariusz Hareza to the touchINFECTIOUS DISEASES Editorial Board.

Dr Hareza is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL, USA. He brings to the board a growing reputation in clinical epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance, with particular expertise in comparative effectiveness and outcomes research.

Dr Hareza’s research investigates the molecular epidemiology and clinical outcomes of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Enterobacterales and difficult-to-treat Pseudomonas aeruginosa. He is currently a fellow with the NIH-funded Antibacterial Resistance Leadership Group (ARLG), building on his recent infectious diseases fellowship and master’s in clinical investigation at Johns Hopkins University.

As an active member of multiple professional societies, including the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), Polish-American Medical Society, and Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), Dr Hareza is passionate about sharing knowledge and driving global collaboration on infectious disease threats.
