We are delighted to announce that Dr. Ikechukwu Benjamin Moses has joined the touchINFECTIOUS DISEASES Editorial Board!

Dr Moses brings a wealth of international expertise to our team. He is currently a FAPESP Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Paulista School of Medicine (EPM), Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Brazil, and also serves as a Global Engagement Research Fellow at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia. In addition, he is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Microbiology at Ebonyi State University, Nigeria.

Dr Moses’s research spans multiple domains of microbiology, with a central focus on infectious diseases, veterinary and pharmaceutical microbiology, and antimicrobial resistance. His work aims to decode the pathogenic potential and zoonotic transmission of multidrug-resistant bacterial pathogens and to explore innovative therapeutic alternatives, ranging from bioactive compounds to phage therapy. His mission aligns perfectly with the journal’s commitment to advancing global infectious disease knowledge and One Health perspectives.

Dr Moses is not only a prolific researcher but also an active peer reviewer for top-tier journals. He holds memberships in key professional societies including the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) and the Canadian Society of Microbiologists, and he regularly presents at major international conferences such as ESCMID Global Congress and the World One Health Congress.
