Here at touch Medical Media we are supporting World AIDS day (1st December 2021), to raise awareness and help improve health and wellbeing for patients living with HIV and AIDS.

It was a pleasure to speak with Dr Dorothy Dow (Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC, USA and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre-Duke University Collaboration, Moshi, Tanzania) and Prof. Coleen Cunningham (University of California Irvine School of Medicine, CA, USA and Duke University, Durham, NC, USA) about their experience in supporting the quality of life of people living with HIV and the challenges that healthcare professionals face in different parts of the world.

Questions:
1. What are the factors undermining sustained quality of life in people living with HIV?
2. What role do healthcare professionals play in improving the quality of life of people living with HIV beyond effective antiretroviral therapy?

Disclosures: Prof. Coleen Cunningham has consulted for Sanofi (RSV Vaccines) and has received clinical trials support from Gilead through her university. Dr Dorothy Dow has nothing to disclose in relation to this video.

Support: The production of this video was supported by Touch Medical Media.
