COVID-19 interventions have proven effective in reducing COVID-19 transmission, though there still remains many barriers to ensure effective prevention of COVID-19. Prof. Renslow Sherer (The University of Chicago Medicine, Chicago, IL, USA) joins touchINFECTIOUS DISEASES to discuss the these interventions. Prof. Sherer also discusses the future steps in optimizing COVID-19 care and what needs to be done to improve patient education regarding vaccination and reducing transmission.
