Here at Touch Medical Media we are supporting World AIDS day (01 December 2022), to raise awareness and help improve health and wellbeing for patients living with HIV and AIDS.
Prof. Ricardo Diaz (Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil) shared with us his experience in managing and supporting people living with HIV in Brazil, from the importance of screening campaigns, to adherence to antiretroviral treatment and the quality of life of people ageing with HIV.
Questions:
1. What are the barriers to HIV screening and early diagnosis?
2. How can healthcare professionals support people living with HIV through antiretroviral therapy initiation and long-term treatment to ensure adherence and therapy success?
3. How can healthcare professionals support people living with HIV to achieve improved and sustained quality of life beyond effective antiretroviral therapy?
